The whole opportunity map, top down.

Every published report is classified into a fixed vertical ontology and rolled up here: which industries hold the strongest validated signal, how the verdicts distribute, and where the whitespace is. Start wide, then drill into a vertical brief or a single report.

Opportunity league table

Where the validated signal concentrates.

Opportunity score blends average validation (60%), average confidence (40%), and a small depth bonus for repeated coverage. Empty verticals score zero until a report lands.

Verdict heatmap

How each vertical's evidence resolves.

Build means strong signal across the five-criterion rubric; Validate means promising with gaps; Research and Rethink mean material unknowns remain.

Manufacturing 74/100 avg

Manufacturing & Supply Chain

Validate: 13Research: 1Rethink: 1

An operations lead managing supply-chain and trade exposure struggles to catch developments like "Argentina surges in global coverage" early and turn them into a decision, because geopolitical and trade developments are scattered across news, forums, and filings with no filter for what actually affects their work.

Software & AI 70/100 avg

Software, AI & Developer Tooling

Validate: 21Research: 8Rethink: 1

Teams increasingly rely on AI tools but lose work time when responses fail, latency spikes, or automations silently break.

Business Ops 67/100 avg

Cross-Industry Business Operations

Validate: 20Research: 9Rethink: 4

A security lead at a small or mid-sized organization struggles to catch developments like "CVE-2026-8037: Progress LoadMaster Command Injection Vulnerability actively exploited (CISA KEV)" early and turn them into a decision, because emerging threats and disclosures are scattered across news, forums, and filings with no filter for what actually affects their work.

Agencies 63/100 avg

Agencies & Professional Services

Validate: 4Research: 3Rethink: 1

Agencies use AI to draft client work but rarely preserve prompt context, review status, usage rights notes, or final approval trails.

Field Trades 62/100 avg

Construction & Field Trades

Validate: 4Research: 2Rethink: 1

Subcontractor onboarding requires insurance, W-9s, safety acknowledgments, contacts, site rules, and job-specific documents.

Public Sector 63/100 avg

Government & Public Sector

Validate: 3Research: 3

A product or engineering lead at a small software company struggles to catch developments like "libexpat now funded by the City of Munich for up to 6 months" early and turn them into a decision, because platform and tooling changes are scattered across news, forums, and filings with no filter for what actually affects their work.

Finance 63/100 avg

Finance & Accounting

Validate: 2Research: 2

Clients send receipts, statements, payroll notes, and tax documents through too many channels, creating missing-file loops before deadlines.

Nonprofits 64/100 avg

Nonprofits & Community

Validate: 2Research: 1

Grant opportunities, eligibility requirements, supporting files, and deadline reminders are scattered across calendars and inboxes.

Retail & Local 61/100 avg

Retail, E-commerce & Local Services

Validate: 3Research: 4

Food trucks juggle permits, inspection windows, insurance documents, event requirements, and renewal dates that differ by location.

Healthcare 59/100 avg

Healthcare & Life Sciences

Validate: 3Research: 14

A safety or compliance lead at a consumer-health or food brand struggles to catch developments like "CRISPR tech selectively shreds cancer cells, including "undruggable" cancers" early and turn them into a decision, because health, safety, and contaminant findings are scattered across news, forums, and filings with no filter for what actually affects their work.

Legal & Risk 57/100 avg

Legal, Risk & Compliance

Validate: 1Research: 6

Users worry that AI prompts, uploads, account state, and sensitive work artifacts are not controlled tightly enough.

Education 58/100 avg

Education & Training

Validate: 1Research: 4

Students miss scholarship opportunities because requirements, essays, references, transcripts, and dates are tracked across scattered notes.

Property 59/100 avg

Real Estate & Property

Validate: 1Research: 1Rethink: 1

Property managers need current certificates, licenses, and renewal reminders before vendors enter buildings, but the evidence often lives in email attachments and spreadsheets.

Hospitality 60/100 avg

Hospitality & Food Service

Research: 2

Food importers and brands must keep every SKU within pesticide maximum residue levels across many suppliers and regions, but residue findings and shifting MRL rules are scattered across regulators, NGO lab tests, and recall alerts, so a banned-substance finding becomes a recall or news story before the team catches it.

Evidence flow

How much real evidence backs each vertical.

From the intelligence graph: declared evidence is explicit complaint seeding in the research record; inferred evidence is keyword overlap and labeled accordingly. Full graph at /graph.json.

Cross-vertical bridges

How classification works

Each report's market, tags, buyer, title, and problem statement are matched against a fixed keyword ontology of 14 verticals. Multi-word phrases outrank single words, market text outranks tags and buyer text, and ties resolve deterministically — so the same archive always produces the same map.

118 of 147 reports matched a vertical directly; 29 fell back to Cross-Industry Business Operations.
