Benchmark

IdeaNavigator AI must reach IdeaBrowser-level product depth.

This page defines the public product baseline: daily habit, searchable database, deep reports, action cards, builder handoff, trend-led discovery, signals, tools, and a credible path from idea to execution. It is not the backlog; accepted gaps move into Threlmark and GitHub, then disappear from the open gap matrix when done.

Observed Standard

IdeaBrowser behaves like an idea-to-build platform.

The benchmark is not about copying content or branding. It is about matching the depth of the customer experience while keeping IdeaNavigator AI static and local-first.

Discovery

Daily idea and database

Idea of the Day, large idea database, filters, sort, AI Suggest, state tabs, and long idea cards.

Validation

Reports and signals

Scores, why now, proof, market gap, execution plan, frameworks, community signals, keywords, and founder fit.

Execution

Actions and builder path

Roast, Build This Idea, prompts, AI chat, research agent, data export, tool stacks, founder fit, updates, and membership journey.

Logged-in

Hub, profile, projects, agents

Account hub, My Stuff, founder archetype, training, project workspace, context files, connectors, and agent library.

Purpose

Benchmark is the quality bar, not the permanent backlog.

Missing capabilities found here become roadmap work. Once implemented, they are removed from the open gaps and tracked through the roadmap, GitHub issue, and documentation history.

01

Benchmark observes

The page compares IdeaNavigator AI against the target product standard and names only gaps that are still open.

02

Roadmap tracks

Every accepted gap becomes a Threlmark card and GitHub issue before implementation starts.

03

Done removes

When the feature ships, it leaves the open gap matrix and moves to implemented notes, release history, and the roadmap Done lane.

Product Map

The baseline flow.

A visitor should be able to move from today's idea to a database, into a report, then into action prompts and a repeatable habit.

IdeaBrowser benchmark flow The baseline product flow moves from trend signals to daily idea, database, report, actions, builder handoff, and retention. Trends raw signals Daily Habit idea of the day Database filters + states Report scores + proof Actions build + roast Trend data should shape the daily idea when it exists; static/local-first delivery stays intact.

Gap Matrix

Open gaps only.

Completed benchmark gaps are intentionally removed from this table after the roadmap item reaches Done.

Baseline Roadmap

Tracked implementation phases.

Each lane is tracked in GitHub and Threlmark, so the benchmark becomes executable work rather than a nice-looking wish list.

IdeaClyst Export

Export source-backed research payloads and ingest local workspace/profile/project context from IdeaNavigator AI.

Implemented

Benchmark gaps already closed.

These are no longer open benchmark gaps. They remain visible here only as release evidence and are tracked as Done in Threlmark and closed in GitHub.

Area Issue Implemented standard
Founder Archetype #40 A local quiz stores archetype/profile context and feeds For You, Founder Fit, Idea Generator, and Workspace export.
AI Tool Landscape #44 The Trends page now includes a generated weekly AI assistant/tooling landscape with movement notes, scores, categories, and official source links.
Audience Intelligence #45 Every idea now links to an audience companion with segments, channels, intent keywords, objections, HTML output, and Markdown output.
Daily Research Sweep #46 The Mac mini publish pipeline now runs complaint mining, AI landscape generation, validation, dated run logs, and alert files before daily generation.
Competitor Landscape #47 Idea reports now include named public alternatives, incumbent/workaround framing, whitespace, positioning moves, and source links.
For You / AI Suggest #48 A local recommendation page ranks reports by founder archetype, profile terms, confidence, and difficulty, with fallback to Idea of the Day.
Filterable Database #49 Archive filters now include market, difficulty, confidence, tags, local state, sort, and show-more pagination.
Execution Accelerator #50 A selected idea now produces a dated first-month milestone plan, JSON export, and builder link.
Time To Execute #51 Each idea now has an execution-readiness scorecard with bottlenecks, accelerators, launch plan, HTML output, and Markdown output.
Idea Builder Packs #52 Builder templates now include Landing Page, Ad Creatives, Brand Package, competitor teardown, audience brief, PRD, interviews, and roast prompts.
Tag Analysis #53 /tags lists tag counts and each tag page includes analysis, related ideas, launch angles, risks, and related tags.

Current strength

Reports are now close to the needed depth.

IdeaNavigator AI already has IdeaClyst-style report data: scorecard, proof, execution plan, frameworks, founder fit, roast, kill criteria, and handoff prompts.

Next benchmark pass

Paid-plan analysis may still be needed.

The approved Free-plan login pass is complete. If paid-plan access later exposes live research, AI chat, connector execution, or project-agent runs, repeat the benchmark without copying private report content.
